Rainy Day Date Outfit

It was date day for Mr.SuperSh!t and I. Unfortunately, we only get to see each other once a week. So, while I look like a troll (less internet, more lives under a bridge) every other day. I actually try to make an effort to look decent on the days we see each other. That’s one of the benefits of long (ish) distance relationship.

So last night I had binged on Season 3 of Orange is the New Black (*internal shriek*) and had only managed to get to bed by 6.00am this morning. Fortunately, I managed to wake up 20 minutes before meeting Mr.SS. Also, fortunately I had showered at 5.30am! You know what song was stuck in my head when I woke up? Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede. SO RANDOM!

I woke up this morning expecting it to be sunny but alas, it was raining. Ugh! WHYYYY?! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE rain! But, I also wanted to look super cute today. So its safe to say I was feeling a bit bummed. I could no longer wear the sundress I had laid out. So, I did what any sane person would do and rushed to pinterest for rainy day outfit inspiration!

I saw this look and I loved it! I just adore the idea of skirt with rainboots!

Next step of course was hair! I have long hair and I did not want to straighten it (duh!). Since I washed my hair at 5.30am, I also didn’t have enough oil in my hair to put it in a bun either. One of the things I have been doing since spring is, experimenting with braids, but I did not want to do a full braid either. So, back to Pinterest I went. I saw this look and I decided to go for it!

SS

Mr.SuperSh!t and I had a fun date. We had a very healthy lunch, and then I got a chocolate-pecan pie cause I cannot resist dessert! We watched Jurassic World (Mr.SS and I are huge fans of the Jurassic Park franchise since we were kids…so we were extra excited). We then went and a had a little less healthy dinner and some minor shopping!

A few squirts of Siriracha and this was heaven in my mouth

So naughty!

Funny story, Mr.SuperSh!t and I have never shared an umbrella before today. Not because it has never rained. Mr.SS is usually anti-umbrella. So, today was our first day sharing an umbrella. Mr.SS is exactly a foot taller than me. Which makes sharing an umbrella not very fun. Either I poke him in the eye, or I got wet! On our way to the movie, Mr.SS saw this super cute umbrella and bought it for me! Its perfect – its small so that I won’t stab anyone else’s eyes out when I walk around the city with it, its clear so not only can I see through it, it also won’t clash with my outfits, it matches my rainboots and professes my love for rain!

I love simple dates with Mr.SuperSh!t. He always manages to makes me laugh even when I make him take a gajillion pictures of me when he is hangry!
